Other WSI TAFE Services

Customer Service Centres

You can speak with a Customer Service Officer to make enquiries and receive help regarding student records, fees, TAFEcard, refunds, travel concessions, changing enrolment details or anything else you might need to know.

Indigenous Student Support

Support is available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people seeking access to vocational education and training within TAFE NSW.

We offer a wide range of courses to Aboriginal students including general education and vocational programs. Aboriginal students are supported by Aboriginal Managers and Aboriginal Student Support Officers, who can advise prospective and enrolled students on course and career selection and provide information on other support services available in the community. Mount Druitt College has a dedicated Aboriginal Education and Training Unit which provides students with a dedicated meeting place and Learning Centre.

Disabilities Support Services

Our Disability Consultants for students with hearing, neurological/learning, physical/medical, mental health and vision disabilities provide a range of services to students in all Colleges, including:

  • Pre-entry Counselling
  • Notetakers
  • Interpreting assistance
  • Modified assessment/exam conditions
  • Special equipment/aids
  • Assistive technology
  • Access and mobility support
  • Special programs and courses

Clothing and Job Pond

Students at Mr Druitt TAFE can readily access the Clothing and Job Pond introduction.

Multicultural

Multicultural Support can be accessed by WSI students.

Learning Support

If you are experiencing study difficulties, you might like to consider talking to a Counsellor. Counsellors provide a free and confidential service to people studying or thinking about studying in TAFE NSW.

Students can also get extra help with study skills, reading, writing, basic maths, basic computing skills or English language support is available.

Library Services

The library service is available free to all current TAFE NSW staff and students, including those enrolled at OTEN. WSI TAFE Libraries have a wide variety of resources available for loan including Books, Journals, Cd- Roms, DVDs and Videos etc.

Childcare Centres

WSI Kids Childcare Centres are located at Blacktown, Mt.Druitt and Nepean campuses. You can check out this link for further information. Nirimba and Richmond College students can apply to UWS Early Learning Centres. For more information about UWS childcare centres use this link.

International Students

Whether you are an international student seeking a pathway to university or getting that extra edge for future employment, we focus on giving you the skills, confidence and opportunities to achieve your goal. All programs are developed together in consultation with industry so you learn and practise the skills employers want – in classrooms, workshops, learning centres and the workplace.

Student Association

Each college in the Institute has a student Association led by an elected group of students, staff and college management. Involvement in the Association is an excellent way of learning new skills and assisting your college.

You can become a member by purchasing a membership card from the Administration Office. As a member you receive many benefits and discounts.
